I LOVE this, Lee! I've set up something similar. After auditing my hub, agents, what I'm using, what I'm not, and more importantly, where I'm using it, this was one of the biggest gaps (basic status).
I love this and have started doing it on all my projects. before I close my laptop, I ask [Claude] to document what I've done that day, put it in the project status files and check what needs to be done next, so that I can carry on where I left off, without spending 30 mins just re-onboarding
This has made all the difference in my projects. Now I have all the context and I have what is needed of me next with my punch list and then the project status has been the biggest thing. But I use that f at for my my board of advisors and my counsel and that has made a difference too in how much I get done or the dire like to just help me refresh on the direction of what is still needed.
Love the return point rule. I do this with my ai projects all the time before a leave a session.Summarize what is going on, then write what should happen next so it is easy to return to it later.
It's definitely been a game changer for me. I mean, I always did a recap and kept a record, but I was doing it more like a like a change log because that's what I was used to from from my you know from the coding days but now I just have these three simple files and it's great because the history it's just there for AI more or less for AI to read or for anyone to orient.
And then the punch list and the project status are really where the magic happens for me.
